In this new era of social-distancing, our lives are more sedentary and (likely) more stressful. I want you to consider inserting shorter and more frequent doses of vigorous exercise into your week. Every day, or every other day – depending on your intensity level. You will boost your immunity levels and I promise you will feel so much better – mentally and physically.
Keep this in mind… To enjoy the full benefits of a HIIT workout on your own, think of your workout as a chemical reaction which is similar to baking cookies. For your best metabolism and brain boosting benefits, try keeping a raised heart rate for at least 25 to 30 consecutive minutes – switching between cardio (marching, light jog) and strengthening moves (squats, lunges).
Turn up your fave tunes, bring in your family, go OUTSIDE and let it GO! It’s remarkable how much better you will feel.

Hey Cindy,
(From Marcia, middle friend)
I just had to share this with you.
I’ve been feeling really sad and lonely.
The only person I see is my husband and the dogs.
I just haven’t been myself. I normally don’t like working out by alone.
And not working out has really brought my mood down.
“So I decided to join your online workout. It was the best thing to do. I got myself dressed in workout clothes, found a space to work out and felt so happy I did. The blues went away and it was almost, It was almost like being there with you!
Thank you so much for the wonderful community you’ve made. I feel honored that I found all of you. I can’t wait to try all of the workouts! Makes being stuck at home a bit more bareable.
Stay safe and healthy.”
Marcia
Way to take control and thanks for sharing, Marcia!
About Mojo Online’s energy level:
All our virtual classes are “LIVE-to-tape”. This means our energy level and heart rate is experiencing the very same level of fatigue as you are experiencing – in real time. The “editing” I do is simply to provide additional instruction and festive distractions to help you get the most out of your workout.
Should you want to give Mojo Online a try, I encourage you to do an entire session back to back without taking more than a 30 to 60 second break in-between songs. It’s not easy, especially when you’re alone, but TRY. If you are just beginning, try one of our shorter classes and build from there.
Don’t let this be you! Don’t give into the temptation to sink into the couch, eat comfort food, and resurface when the coast is clear. Try to keep a sense of healthy structure in your life. Continue finding ways to bring JOY into your life – both mentally and physically. It is not only lousy (and dangerous) for your waistline, but it will add stress and lower your immunity levels – for your entire family.
Use this time to create new healthy habits, new JOYS and a new temporary reality. Set up an exercise schedule and follow through. It’s surprising how putting on sneakers and pony tail will get your brain to cooperate.
