It’s hard to express the exhilaration of our Mojo workouts,
but these Flo Rida lyrics at yesterday’s “At The Park” workout really HIIT me… “Birds flying high You know how I feel It’s a new day You know how I feel Sun in the sky You know how I feel It’s a new day You know how I feel 🎵”
The ability to celebrate and SWEAT safely at Wilson Farm Park with friends on an unseasonably warm day is a GIFT – especially now.
As we know too well, HIIT exercise is fuel for our brain, body and soul. During these particularly challenging times, I am so pleased to know that our LIVE and online sessions have worked magic for so many of us.
For those of you who are feeling low and having a hard time, this passage by Daily OM that resonated with me and I thought I would share another reason to get your mojo on…
When you’re struggling against a roadblock, taking a break and doing something you are good at is a great way to regain your confidence.
Repeatedly trying unsuccessfully to overcome a problem can sap your self-assurance and make giving up seem like the only option. But switching your focus to an activity you excel at can restore some of your self-belief and poise.
You’ll be less likely to want to quit when your self-esteem has been bolstered by success, even if you’ve only won a game or finished a puzzle…(or crazy dancing!)
Taking a break to engage in an activity you’re good at can inspire you to try again. When you take a break today, you may discover that your flagging enthusiasm for a difficult project is renewed.
As we know by now, being “good” at Mojo-ing is not the goal.
“Good” comes from the JOY you feel when music is pumping through your veins and the SATISFACTION you feel when exploring new rhythms and physical challenges and the sense of personal PRIDE you feel that you did this for yourself.
My thanks to all of you who continue to include Mojo as a small part of this bizarre and challenging journey.
Hang in there, keep moving forward and surround yourself with positive energy!
